Welcome to this website, which is built on photographic records of my gig experiences going back to the early 1980s. None of these photos were taken with any "photographer privileges" - all were taken from a unique audience perspective as a paying customer.

Included in those early gigs are some of particularly special occasions from that decade, including Live Aid, Freddie Mercury’s final gig with Queen at Knebworth, the Rolling Stones last gig before a 7-year hiatus, and David Bowie in my own view at his very best, on his Serious Moonlight tour.

As I was moving towards retirement my passion for gigs was re-kindled, and in the past few years I have seen hundreds of artists with photographic memories recorded here. I have added my ramblings providing background to the relevant occasions and indeed sometimes heading off at a bit of a tangent.

Some of the artists featured in the 1980s are still active now, and I feature those who I have seen 3 or 4 decades apart in my Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes section. Elton John appears in 1982, 1984, 1985, 2019, 2022 and 2023! Some of my favourite photos are of Alice Cooper who starts off in monochrome in 1986, before re-appearing in full colour in 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, with no sign of him easing off touring.

Long Live Rock” features those artists who are no longer with us. 40+ years has not only aged me, but we now see many artists still touring into their seventies and eighties, who have their own “Zimmer Frame Rock” section (119 individuals at the last count!)

Recent photos are collated in year order, with a separate dedicated section for the Taylor Hawkins Tribute concert at Wembley in 2022.
